Parramatta Half Marathon to finish inside CommBank Stadium
CommBank Stadium
CommBank Stadium will become the home of a historic new running event in 2026, with the inaugural Parramatta Half Marathon set to deliver an unforgettable finish inside the stadium.
The event brings a full-scale half marathon to Western Sydney for the first time, with up to 8,000 runners expected to take part when the race takes over the streets of Parramatta on Sunday 21 June 2026.
The 21.1 kilometre course begins on O’Connell Street and winds through Parramatta’s most recognisable precincts, including Parramatta Park, the CBD and river foreshore, before guiding runners through the stadium gates to cross the finish line on stadium turf.
The Parramatta Half Marathon has been created to showcase Parramatta as a destination for major sporting events, combining a fast, scenic course with a finish experience more commonly associated with elite sport and live entertainment.
The event is supported by the City of Parramatta and delivered by Sydney-based organisers 180 Cadence, the team behind the Sydney Ultra Marathons and Sydney’s Backyard Ultra.
Registrations are now open, with runners encouraged to secure their place early for what is set to become one of Sydney’s most distinctive new races.
